Referrals Manager

We are looking for a Social Worker with recent experience in children and families and particularly Fostering to lead and manage our referrals team based in our Bromsgrove office.

You will be proactive in taking referrals from local authorities and liaising with our foster carers to ensure that the best possible match is found for the young person or child in order to deliver positive results. 

In addition you will be responsible to building and designing individual packages of support to enable our carers to manage complex referrals. You will build positive working relationships with our social workers, carers and Local Authorities staff.

You will need to be a strong communicator, both verbally and in writing, with a great attention to details and able to use work, excel and databases competently.  You will be able to analyse information from a variety of sources , be able to multitask and produce accurate and convincing reports to support your plans. 

You will possess a good knowledge to relevant legislation in relation to fostering and be able to demonstrate how you have successfully supported foster carers to improve the lives of those they care for.

You will lead and manage a team of referral co-ordinators and be responsible for their supervision and development.

You will be a car owner and able to travel within the region in order to visit our clients.

Although this role is based in Bromsgrove you will need to be flexible and available to spend several nights away during the comprehensive induction process.
