Area: Office Based in Basildon with some travel across the region                                      

Salary up to £44K per annum depending upon experience plus £3K car allowance

Children First Fostering Agency is a well established and respected agency that provides outstanding outcomes for children and young people (Ofsted 2015) We have an experienced and knowledgeable staff team and a well trained and settled group of carers.

We are part of the National Fostering Agency Group while we retain our own identify we have the support of NFA’s services including working with eight other acquired fostering agencies nationwide.

We are looking to recruit a Team Manager who is a qualified, HCPC registered Social Worker with recent experience in children and families and particularly Fostering to lead and manage a team of Supervising Social Workers across the region. Supervises a team of Social Workers

Day to day supervision of carers and staff

Allocation of workload and tasks.

Performance management, appraisal and discipline

The Team Manager will work closely with and under the direct supervision of the Agency Manager to provide proactive and practical support, advice, guidance and training for foster carers and staff. Ensuring that high levels of care are maintained for the children in placement and all statutory obligations are met.

You will need to be motivated, enthusiastic, conscientious and professional, with a passion for working with foster carers and children and have substantial post qualifying experience and working knowledge of the fostering sector. You will have existing leadership and management qualities and the ability to manage your time effectively. You must be able to demonstrate multi tasking and decision making skills. You will be required to have excellent communication skills and a professional approach to working with people and children from diverse backgrounds. You will also need to be IT literate, have a full driving licence and your own transport.
